Val Pendleton B.A. (Hons)
I cannot remember a time when I was not inspired by art, colour and beautiful forms and I always felt that I would find a career in the world of art. During an Art Foundation course at the Lanchester Polytechnic in Coventry, I began to develop a bold painting style, using the deep, striking colours that have become part of my trademark today. This style secured me a place at Hornsey College of Art ( now Middlesex University ), to study for a degree in Textile Design. After leaving Hornsey, I soon found my work becoming increasingly popular worldwide. My exuberant textile designs were commissioned for clothing, furnishings, kitchenware & baby accessories.
I feel that my artwork encompasses my love of colour, textures and dramatic scenery. I am told that my paintings and digital images become the talking points in any setting, be it home, office, restaurant or hotel. I happily work with samples of clients’ furnishings, to bring just the right colours together to enhance their homes and workplaces.
I hope that you like my work as much as I love creating it!
Commissions welcome.
